Challenge #16 - 2 Chronicles 7:14
A blessed Second Sunday in Advent to you! Thank you for joining us for another scripture-based challenge here at Stampin' Sisters in Christ!
We are so very pleased to announce that Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is once again our sponsor for this week's challenge! Woo hoo! Thank you Korin!!!
Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is dedicated to sharing the love of Christ through papercrafting. Korin offers both whimsical and detailed images in both digi and rubber, many of which include scriptures or Christian quotes. If you haven't visited SNSS before... or lately...now is the time! There's a huge sale going on right now... 70% off on select stamps that are being retired...some new seasonal sets have just been added and they are amazing! Not to mention there are two new releases that you don't want to miss!
One of you lucky ladies will win this wonderful stamp set for playing in this week's challenge:
Now, on to the challenge! Our hostess this week is Ceal Pritchett, who also happens to be a member of the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Design Team. Ceal chose the following scripture:
SCRIPTURE
2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." (NIV)
I've been thinking a lot about prayer lately. I get lots of prayer requests, and I'm always happy to oblige. When I say I'm praying for someone or will pray for someone, I keep my word. It's important to pray for others, not only because Christ has asked us to, but because it is a source of comfort to those who ask for our prayers.
However, I think we also need to remember to pray for ourselves, to humble ourselves and pray. To ask the Lord for forgiveness of our sins, for His guidance, for His healing, for His peace... and to THANK Him for all He has done, and continues to do, to bless our lives. God wants to hear from each of us because He is most concerned about our own personal relationship with Him.
CHALLENGE
Ceal's challenge is to make a card to let someone know you are praying for them, using images of people (men, women and/or children...angels are okay, too!).

Meet Our Guest Designer - Irina Blount
Happy Thursday!! It's time once again to introduce to you our lovely Guest Designer for the week. I am VERY excited and honored to introduce Irina Blount, owner of LaLa Land Crafts stamps and our sponsor this week!! Irina is the sweetest lady (I know, we say that about all our wonderful designers, but that's only because it's TRUE!) Lisa and I have been so fortunate and blessed to work with Irina as Designer (L) and Guest Designer (me). Thank you so much for sharing with all of us a little about YOU! Take it away Irina!!
Hello, I my name is Irina Blount. I am the founder and the owner of the rubber stamp company called La-La Land Crafts. I am the eyes, the heart, the soul and the brains of the company. Everything that you see in our products has gone through my hands and the long process of the reviews and revisions. I have been artsy-craftsy as long as I can remember. As a child I attended the art school, as an adult I graduated from the college with a degree in Fashion Design. I also enjoy oil painting. I have been paper crafting for a long time, it all started with scrapbooking and then I have transitioned into the card making. I really love making cards because for the small project there are sure so many options and every time I make a new card I get a feel of accomplishment. A few months ago I have decided that I should take my love of Stamping and Card Making a step further. And I took it!! Not even a step really, but a HUGE LEAP!!! I have decided to start my VERY OWN STAMP COMPANY!!!! Crafting has really been my happy place, my La-La Land for many years. This is where I go to escape from reality sometimes, and it has definitely helped me to get through some hard times in my life. That's how the name of my company, "La-La Land Crafts", was born.
Who makes the artwork for our stamps? I have searched high and low to find the artists with just the right artwork that appealed to me, and which also could be turned into the line art for the stamps. Not an easy task let me tell you, but I have found three!!! If you know me, you know that I am all about quality and perfection when it comes to my favorite craft, Card Making. Because I have been on the other side of this awesome hobby for awhile, I took a customer approach when I search for the manufacturer for my stamps. Our stamps are made of a very high quality deep etched red rubber. They are already mounted on the cling cushion, they are trimmed and ready to be placed on acrylic blocks. Because of the high quality of the stamps, you will get great stamped images every single time. Your stamps will arrive packaged on the thick heavy plastic with the colored image on the front of the package. We recommend to keep the packaging to store your stamps and also for the color reference.
I have an absolutely talented and wonderful Design Team and the Guest Designers. I would not be able to run the company without their help and support. Please visit our blog at www.lalalandcrafts.blogspot.com for inspirational ideas and to participate in our weekly challenges. Our stamps can be purchased online at www.lalalandcrafts.com.
I was absolutely thrilled when Lisa and Kristine asked me to sponsor for Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge!! What an honor!! And I really love this week's scriptures!! As the most of us, I love giving gifts way more then receiving them. There is just that special feeling of joy when you see that you made someone happy!! And that is what gift giving is all about!!
For this challenge I had made two cards and a gift box. I hope you like them :-)
Hugs!!
Irina
